Yakitori Chicken


Chicken tenderloins - mmmm, what to do with these.

I still had 4 thin pork sausages left from last night (the children's meal), so I thought I'd do something like a mixed grill. I used 2 of the chicken tenderloins to make chicken burgers (which I threw in the oven on baking paper), and the rest to make 'Yakitori Chicken' - skewered chicken basted with a scrummy, yummy sauce, no marination required. This sauce is made by basically bringing to a boil, the following: soy sauce, sugar, sake & some flour as a thickener.

So, the sausages were grilled, the chicken skewers cooked off in my trusty ribbed Le Creuset grill pan, chips & chicken burgers in oven. A bit of steamed broccoli on the side completed the meal.
